About Us

Formed in June 2022, Up the Road Cycling was established to provide UCI point-driven cycling journalism since it was not provided by mainstream outlets. Throughout its first 10 months, UTR developed to provide regular analytical articles; a database of men's cycling and unrivalled daily updates of the UCI Rankings for its members. Indeed, UTR has become a source of data driven analytics for directors and riders from over 60% of Men's WorldTour teams.

Thanks to a growing number of subscribers, UTR+ was launched in late May 2023, enabling members to pay £12 per year (or £2 per month) for access to our unrivalled men's and women's databases; a monthly newsletter; team/rider specific analysis and recommendation articles. In doing so, we aim to provide greater insights into the workings of the points system for men's and women's cycling.
